BFC sees advocacy as a useful addition to actual development cooperation.
For all levels of advocacy work, it is important to inform the various actors, to give them a say or to involve them in the decision-making process.
With regard to raising awareness of human trafficking and violence against women, we work with organizations that specialize in these areas and have a network.

Non-violence: BFC explicitly distances itself from any violent action.
Working in Alliances: BFC will work in networks, seeking allies with similar goals and values.
Accountability: BFC does not engage in advocacy activities for its own sake. Advocacy is only legitimate if it helps to improve the situation of disadvantaged people.
Proximity to the people: BFC tailors its advocacy activities to the needs of its beneficiaries.
Solidarity based on human rights: Advocacy work is also a sign of solidarity. For BFC, solidarity means that everyone benefits from respect for human rights.
