We are happy to present you our new library in Ghalythum, Nepal
We are delighted to present you our 13'th Library at East Point Academy in Ghalythum, Sindhupalchok district, Nepal. This library has been established in collaboration with Kids of Kathmandu. We are very grateful for their partnership.
The theme of the mural is centered around two Iconic Women from Nepal: Bishnu Kumari Waiba and Pasang Lhamu Sherpa. Bishnu Kumari Waiba, a renowned writer from Nepal who wrote with the Pen Name Parijat. "Shirish ko phool" translated as " Blue Memosa" is one of the finest novels of modern Nepali literature. Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, a renowned climber is the first woman from Nepal to reach Mount Everest. We choose this theme of Iconic Women to instill in the students the notion that gender should not stand in the way to follow and achieve their dreams.
A big thank you to our Artist Team Bijendra and Jenney for painting such a gorgeous mural and setting up the library with enthusiasm and positivity. Working with you two is such a pure joy. Also, thanks to East Point Academy school for acknowledging and appreciating our work.
